We're Betsy and Don Horner of Okeechobee,
Florida. We recently completed a permanent
move to the Okeechobee property from our
long-time home in Port St. Lucie, FL.
Betsy is a semi-retired physical therapist specializing in home visit therapy. She's still
seeing patients; she loves it and may never retire completely.although she is finally
enjouying more free time.
Betsy is an avid quilter and Don spends most of his time working on the Okeechobee
property. We have been traveling frequently, both in our RV and on cruises, primarily
with Oceania Cruise Lines..
Our daughter, Amy Horner Wood and 3 children, Zoe, Erin and Aidan,were living in
Okeechobee, but moved to Zephyrhills, Florida. Amy is the band director at Centennial
Middle School near Zephyrhills, FL. At this writing (Winter, 2011), Zoe is 10 years old
and in 5th grade, Erin is 8 years old and in 3rd grade, and Aidan, 6, is in kindergarten.
Our son, Adam Horner, married Trisha Cote. They are living in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Adam is an appraiser/REO analyst with Wells Fargo and maintains his real estate
broker's license. Trish is settling into their new home and looking for the right
opportunity. They recently purchased our Port St. Lucie house.
About us
Don is retired. After a varied career, he
most enjoyed owning a store specializing in
upscale BBQ grills, including fabrication of
custom outdoor kitchens.
